Shri Modi concludes campaign for 2012 Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012!

Shri Modi addresses 6 public meetings on 15th December 2012

Shri Modi comes down heavily on Pakistan’s interior minister Mr. Rehman Malik for equating 26/11 attacks with Ayodhya issue

The statement Mr. Rehman Malik made is something that the nation will never accept. On Indian soil, how did he have the courage to say that the attack in Mumbai where many innocent people were killed and the event in Ayodhya in 1992 are the same thing: Shri Modi

Pradhan Mantri ji, does any minister of Pakistan have the right to comment on India’s internal matters? Asks Shri Modi

Pakistan is doing this because our Government lacks strength: CM

If Sardar Patel was alive, Afzal Guru would have been hanged very promptly and Pakistan would never have asked for Sir Creek: Shri Modi

Rahul Baba says one man gets very angry! If Modi gets angry or not let the people decide that. Why are you giving certificates? See behavior of your leaders.  You tore papers in Uttar Pradesh (in a public rally) and you said you don’t get angry. Here you say I am walking on Gandhi ji’s path but we never heard Gandhiji tearing papers like that: Shri Modi

On Saturday 15th December 2012 Shri Narendra Modi addressed public meetings in Tharad, Dhanera & Palanpur (Banaskantha district), Visnagar (Mehsana district), Prantij and Modasa (Sabarkantha district). Shri Modi came out all guns blazing against the statements of Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mr. Rehman Malik in which he equated 26/11 with Ayodhya and affirmed that such statements can be made by visiting Pakistan minister because the Congress-led UPA Government lacks strength.

Shri Modi said, “I have heard that a delegation from Pakistan led by Mr. Rehman Malik has reached India. But the statement that he made is something that the nation will never accept. On Indian soil, how did he have the courage to say that the attack in Mumbai where many innocent people were killed and the event in Ayodhya in 1992 are the same thing.”

He asked the Prime Minister, “Pradhan Mantri ji, does any minister of Pakistan have the right to comment on India’s internal matters? How did he say this? In 26/11 Pakistan sent terrorists, killed innocents- it is guilty. Instead of answering these questions he is linking it with Ayodhya and justifying it? Pakistan is doing this because our Government lacks strength!”

Shri Modi stated that the Prime Minister is talking to a Pakistan delegation but has failed to give a clear answer on the questions raised by him on the Sir Creek issue. He asked the Prime Minister to assure the nation that talks may be on with Pakistan but not an inch of land of Sir Creek will be given to Pakistan.

On Mrs. Sonia Gandhi’s comments that his claim on Sir Creek is guided by political motives in the name of patriotism, Shri Modi said, “I am a son of India, I live for the nation- do not question our patriotism and give us certificates on it. I am born in this land will die for it. For us Sir Creek is not a piece of land but a part of our body. I want answer from Congress. Assure us that keeping in the nation in dark you are moving ahead with this. The Country will never accept this.” He asked if we can give Sir Creek and divide Gujarat to which the people unanimously said ‘No.’

The Chief Minister avowed that if Sardar Patel was alive, Afzal Guru would have been hanged very promptly and Pakistan would never have asked for Sir Creek.

Earlier today, Congress General Secretary visited Gujarat where he said that there is politics of anger in the state. Giving him a befitting reply, Shri Modi affirmed, “Rahul Baba says one man gets very angry! If Modi gets angry or not let the people decide that. Why are you giving certificates? See behavior of your leaders.  You tore papers in Uttar Pradesh and you said you don’t get angry. Here you say I am walking on Gandhi ji’s path but we never heard Gandhiji tearing papers like that.”

Shri Modi asked Mrs. Sonia Gandhi not to shed crocodile tears when for farmers and further asked why she couldn’t say a word on rising prices despite the Congress promising to reduce prices in 100 days during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. “Congress wants your vote but they wont tell you what they will do for you,” he stated.

He spoke about the success of the Sujalam Sufalam and stated that farmers can now grow 3 crops in a year now. Shri Modi talked about the success of the 108-ambulance service and how it has saved the lives of many people.

With this, Shri Modi ends his public meetings for the 2012 Gujarat Vidhan Sabha elections campaign. Over the past few weeks he has extensively toured the entire state, interacted with lakhs of people and sought their blessings so that the BJP can serve the people of Gujarat again for the next 5 years. Wherever he has gone, the public meetings have generated a wonderful response and people cutting across age groups, communities came in large numbers to support Shri Modi.
