On 19th October 2014 the results for the Assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra were declared and the performance of the BJP in both the states was phenomenal. In Haryana the BJP secured a complete majority and in Maharashtra the BJP crossed 100 seats, becoming the first party to do so since 1990.

Congratulating the BJP Karyakartas and thanking the people of Haryana and Maharashtra for placing their faith in BJP the Prime Minister shared on Twitter:

Addressing a press conference at the Party Headquarters in New Delhi, the BJP President Shri Amit Shah highlighted the positive work by the Central Government and the personal connect of Shri Narendra Modi as among the important reasons behind the victory of the BJP.

 The BJP Parliamentary Board passed a resolution, terming the mandate as a reaffirmation of the popular faith in the BJP and in the leadership of the Prime Minister. The resolution also took note of the extensive campaigning of Shri Modi, which played a major role in the elections.

From various news editorials to eminent people from different walks of life, several people congratulated the BJP and Shri Narendra Modi for the phenomenal results. The BJP’s strategy of contesting all seats in both the states was appreciated.
