As a prelude to the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit-2011, Chief Minister Narendra Modi launched an “Investors’ Facilitation” website portal and GIS-based “Investors’ Support System Manual” to provide necessary information to prospective investors across the world about the biennial mega event.
The single-window portal and the manual are being jointly managed by the Industries Department and Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb) to provide online information to the investors on industries or infrastructure projects for scientific selection of suitable land, project profiles, investment procedures and progress and other facilities, The investors’ facilitation website-portal has been prepared by Tata Consultancy Services.
Shri Modi said the documents should serve as a unique initiative undertaken by the state government as well as its pro-active policies that helped the state attract foreign investments in slew of projects in the past.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Minister of State for Industries Saurabh Patel, Chief Secretary A.K. Joti, Principal Industries Secretary Maheshwar Sahu, Industries Commissioner and iNDEXTb Chairman B.B. Swain and GIDB Managing Director A.K. Sharma, among others.
