Call by the Home Minister of Bangladesh on the Prime Minister

The Minister for Home Affairs of Bangladesh, Mr. Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, who is on a visit to India for the 7th Home Minister Level talks, called-on the Prime Minister today.

The Home Minister noted the strong and growing relationship between the two countries and thanked India for its support, including in the areas of border management and infrastructure. The Prime Minister reaffirmed India's abiding commitment to steadfastly partner Bangladesh in its rapid progress to prosperity. He noted that Bangladesh, under the visionary leadership of its Prime Minister, has set an example of democracy and development not just for the region but the whole world.

The Home Minister conveyed condolences, on behalf of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and on his own behalf, on the demise of former External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj. The Prime Minister thanked the visiting dignitary for his tribute and sentiments.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

“अल्पानामपि वस्तूनां संहतिः कार्यसाधिका।

तृणैर्गुणत्वमापन्नैर्बध्यन्ते मत्तदन्तिनः॥”

The Sanskrit Subhashitam conveys that even small things, when brought together in a well-planned manner, can accomplish great tasks, and that a rope made of hay sticks can even entangle powerful elephants.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;
