Foreign Minister of Japan calls on PM

H. E. Mr. Taro Kono, Foreign Minister of Japan, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.

Mr. Kono briefed the Prime Minister about the follow-up action taken in recent months after the visit of Prime Minister Modi to Japan in October 2018.

The Prime Minister warmly recalled his successful visit to Japan in October 2018, and reiterated his strong commitment to further deepen the Special Strategic and Global Partnership between India and Japan.

The Prime Minister said that India looks forward to the next round of Annual Summit with Japan, later this year.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam applauding the effort and dedication of India's Youth:

"न हि ज्ञानेन सदृशं पवित्रमिह विद्यते ।

तत्स्वयं योगसंसिद्ध: कालेनात्मनि विन्दति ॥"

Shri Modi said that through continuous effort and dedication, our talents are honed and refined, and our youth is imbibing these very qualities and bringing glory to India.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

निरंतर प्रयास और साधना से हमारी प्रतिभा और निखरती है। आज हमारे युवा इन्हीं गुणों को आत्मसात कर दुनियाभर में देश का नाम रोशन कर रहे हैं।
