Shri Modi to address Industry Responsive Skill Convention on ‘Making Gujarat a Skill Hub’ at Mahatma Mandir

On the morning of Thursday 20th September 2012, Shri Narendra Modi will address the Industry Responsive Skill Convention on ‘Making Gujarat a Skill Hub.’ This convention has been organized in the run up to the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2013. The Convection will be held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

The focus will be on the following aspects:

    • Industry Responsive Skill Manpower- the PPP Way.
    • Forging partnerships between industry and Government in areas of skill development.
    • A sustainable approach to skill development- focusing on globally acclaimed models.
 

 

In the last decade, Shri Modi has given immense importance to enhancing skill development, especially among Gujarat’s youth. Notably, Shri Modi has also transformed the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Gujarat by not only revamping the courses but also offering immense mobility for the ITI students to do ahead and pursue engineering etc.

During his historic Google+ Hangout on 31st August, Shri Modi as asked a question on skill development where he spoke on the need to strengthen our youth with relevant skills if we want to make the 21st Century India’s Century.
