Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed International Management Conclave on Saturday via video conferencing from his residence.
Sharing his views on Gujarat's development he said, ‘the feats that Gujarat has conquered are accredited to the strength and resolve of its people'. Talking about development and leadership he said,' The Need of the Hour is to make Vikas a Jan Andolan - A Mass Movement in which every individual realizes that progress lies in his hand. The person who instills this feeling in the masses is a true leader.'
He cited the example of Gujarat Electricity Board, which incurred loss of Rs 2,500 crore. However, after dismantling the GEB and the reformation of the same into four companies has improved the condition immensely. He also cited the example of evening courts in the state that have played an important role in clearing the backlog of pending cases.
