PM pays tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. M.G. Ramachandran on his Jayanti

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has paid tributes to the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Bharat Ratna Dr. M.G. Ramachandran (MGR), on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

In a statement, the Prime Minister lauded MGR's multifaceted legacy, highlighting his monumental role in the socio-economic development of Tamil Nadu and his efforts in taking Tamil culture to the global stage.

The Prime Minister in separate posts on X said:

“Paying homage to the exceptional MGR on his Jayanti. His contribution to Tamil Nadu's progress is outstanding. Equally noteworthy is his role in popularising Tamil culture. We will always keep working to realise his vision for our society.”

“எம்.ஜி.ஆரின் பிறந்தநாளில் அவருக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்துகிறேன். தமிழ்நாட்டின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு அவரது பங்களிப்பு மகத்தானது. தமிழ்க் கலாச்சாரத்தைப் பிரபலப்படுத்துவதிலும் அவரது பங்கு அதே அளவுக்குக் குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. சமூகத்திற்கான அவரது தொலைநோக்குப் பார்வையை நனவாக்க நாங்கள் எப்போதும் பாடுபடுவோம்.”

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has expressed deep anguish over the mishap in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Shri Modi said that he is distressed to hear about the incident and extended his heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the mishap.
