Centre of Excellence to come up at five engineering colleges in Gujarat

The Industries Department of Gujarat signed MoUs with Siemens Software and other well-known companies for setting up of five centres of excellence for engineering students of Gujarat in the presence of Chief Minister, Narendra Modi. The MoUs were signed during a seminar related to qualitative improvements in higher education at the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

The Chief Minister appreciated the project which involves setting up of a centre of excellence on public-private partnership at the cost of Rs. 500 crore. He said that in Gujarat as many as 13 centres of excellence in engineering colleges have been set up so far and around 50,000 engineering students will be benefitted with the setting up of these five new centres of excellence.

Prime Minister speaks with Amir of Qatar

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi spoke with H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed that India stands firmly in solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemns any violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The two leaders emphasized the urgent need to restore peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy.

The Prime Minister also conveyed his appreciation for the continued support and care extended by the Qatari leadership to the Indian community in Qatar during this challenging time.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“Spoke with my brother, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar. We stand firmly in solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemn any violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
