Mr. James Rupert Murdoch, Ch airman of STAR TV for Europe and Asia, today p aid a courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
Mr.Murdoch while appreciating the leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister, said that he was impressed with the development that is happening in Gujarat. Visiting Gujarat was his long-time wish, he said.
Mr.Modi acquainted Mr.Murdoch with the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat and with the pro-business approach of Gujarati people. Mr. Murdoch indicated that Gujarat will be the focal point of his company's media strategy.
Mr.Modi gifted Mr.Murdoch his book ‘Convenient Action', which is based on the subject of climate change. Mr.Murdoch accepted it gladly saying that his wife is also an environment expert. Mr.Uday Shanker, CEO, STAR India, was also present on the occasion.
