Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi expresses deep surprise over Kerala CPI(M) leader’s statement that the party would kill opponents if need be.

Why are human rights organizations silent of this issue I wonder, why aren’t the Central and Kerala Governments saying anything on this?: Shri Modi

This is the language of anti-India elements, terrorists, Maoists,Naxalites: Shri Modi

We should oppose such unimaginable statements: Shri Modi

During an interaction with party workers on Sunday 27th May 2012, Gujarat Chief Minister came out strongly against the statement of a CPI(M) leader from Kerala, which stated that the party would continue to kill enemies in the future. Shri Modi asked why were the human rights organizations and the Governments silent on this matter that has serious implications on our democracy.

In a report in the Indian Express that appeared today,MM Mani, a senior CPI (M) leader from Kerala said that the party would continue to murder enemies, adding that it has had a history of doing so as well.

Shri Modi stated that in the state of Kerala, over 250 RSS/Jan Sangh/BJP workers were brutally murdered over the years for no fault of theirs but still, the workers never lost their determination.

He was astounded that how can a senior CPI (M) leader could make such a inhuman statement and was further surprised over the silence of human rights bodies on this statement. Where are the human rights organizations now? Why are they silent, he asked?

The Chief Minister further inquired what the Central Government and the Government of Kerala were doing on this grave issue. He said it was indeed unfortunate that CPI (M) leaders are openly making such statements. He asked NHRC to take cognizance of the matter.

Shri Modi affirmed that as workers, it was our duty to raise our voice against this. Terming the statement as unimaginable, Shri Modi said this is exactly the language anti-India elements, terrorists, Maoists and Naxalites speak. He further asked that such statements should be opposed in every nook and corner of the country.
