“Today, India is advancing, and its citizens are moving forward with a collective desire to maintain this momentum. The people of India are determined not to regress but to keep progressing,” said PM Modi today addressing the nation at the BJP headquarters following significant electoral victories in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.

Today’s electoral victories are being seen as clear evidence that the people of India have once again placed their trust in Prime Minister Modi's brand of development-oriented politics. PM Modi acknowledged this renewed faith, emphasizing the citizens' desire for stability and their commitment to accelerating the path towards a 'developed India,' which he terms as 'Viksit Bharat.'

PM Modi has issued a powerful call to the youth of the nation, urging them to unite during this Amrit Kaal and take on the role of Viksit Bharat Ambassadors. The youth, the PM said, should assume leadership in fulfilling the resolutions for a developed and committed India. Additionally, he urged BJP karyakartas to get on the NaMo App, encouraging at least 10 individuals each to assume the responsibility of a 'Viksit Bharat Ambassador.'

Within the NaMo App, a dedicated module named 'Viksit Bharat Ambassador' has been introduced. This module presents a distinctive opportunity for individuals to engage in a 100-day challenge aimed at amplifying India's development narrative. Top 5 'Viksit Bharat Ambassadors' engaging in this challenge will receive appropriate rewards on a weekly and monthly basis, designed to keep them motivated in actively promoting and sharing success stories related to the initiatives undertaken to achieve the vision of 'Viksit Bharat.'

The concept of Viksit Bharat has transcended its status as a government initiative, PM Modi has transformed it into a Jan Andolan, a people's movement that goes beyond political affiliations. At the core of this movement is a commitment to performance, efficient delivery, and a zero-tolerance policy for anything inconsistent with pro-people governance. Prime Minister Modi's overarching vision in issuing this call is to nurture a generation devoted to realizing the dream of a developed India. This generation is characterized by a steadfast resolve, unwavering discipline, and a deep commitment to actualizing the vision of a developed India.

The Prime Minister's call to action aligns with his belief that there is no better time than now to vocalize the achievements of Viksit Bharat, encapsulated in his statement – 'Yahi Samay Hai, Sahi Samay Hai, Bharat Ka Anmol Samay Hai' (This is the time, the right time, the precious time for India). The Narendra Modi App serves as the gateway for individuals to engage in word-of-mouth communication, sharing and amplifying the success stories and progress taking place under various initiatives. Prime Minister Modi's innate ability to leverage the power of Jan Bhagidari, or people's participation, is bound to motivate citizens from all walks of life to champion the cause of Viksit Bharat.

He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

On 20th December, Prime Minister will inaugurate the new terminal building of Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport in Guwahati, marking a transformative milestone in Assam’s connectivity, economic expansion and global engagement.

The newly completed Integrated New Terminal Building, spread over nearly 1.4 lakh square metres, is designed to handle up to 1.3 crore passengers annually, supported by major upgrades to the runway, airfield systems, aprons and taxiways.

India’s first nature-themed airport terminal, the airport’s design draws inspiration from Assam’s biodiversity and cultural heritage under the theme “Bamboo Orchids”. The terminal makes pioneering use of about 140 metric tonnes of locally sourced Northeast bamboo, complemented by Kaziranga-inspired green landscapes, japi motifs, the iconic rhino symbol and 57 orchid-inspired columns reflecting the Kopou flower. A unique “Sky Forest”, featuring nearly one lakh plants of indigenous species, offers arriving passengers an immersive, forest-like experience.

The terminal sets new benchmarks in passenger convenience and digital innovation. Features such as full-body scanners for fast, non-intrusive security screening, DigiYatra-enabled contactless travel, automated baggage handling, fast-track immigration and AI-driven airport operations ensure seamless, secure and efficient journeys.

On 21st December morning before heading to Namrup, Prime Minister will also visit the Swahid Smarak Kshetra to pay homage to the martyrs of the historic Assam Movement, a six-year-long people’s movement that embodied the collective resolve for a foreigner-free Assam and the protection of the State’s identity.

Later in the day, Prime Minister will perform Bhoomipujan of the new brownfield Ammonia-Urea Fertilizer Project at Namrup, in Dibrugarh, Assam, within the existing premises of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL).

Furthering Prime Minister’s vision of Farmers’ Welfare, the project, with an estimated investment of over Rs. 10,600 crore, will meet fertilizer requirements of Assam and neighbouring states, reduce import dependence, generate substantial employment and catalyse regional economic development. It stands as a cornerstone of industrial revival and farmer welfare.
