Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with Mitsui-India CMD Suzuki

Japan’s Mitsui Co to set up CPVC plant at Dahej jointly with Meghmani Group

Gandhinagar, Monday: Japan’s Mitsui India Chairman-cum-Managing Director Mr. Suzuki here today met with Gujarat Chief Minster Mr. Narendra Modi and briefed him about the details of a Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) manufacturing plant to be set up in collaboration with Meghmani Group in the private joint sector at Dahej.

Welcoming the new enterprise, Mr. Modi expressed happiness at Gujarat’s growing collaboration with Japan, particularly after Japan became a partner in Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit. He also briefed about the up and coming Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project in collaboration with Government of India and Japanese Government, with corridor occupying maximum area in Gujarat.

Mr. Modi also discussed Japan’s keen interest to develop two eco cities in the state, one in the automobile zone.

Prominent among those present during the meeting were Meghmani Group Directors Mr. Jayantibhai Patel and Mr. Rameshbhai Patel, Gujarat Government’s Principal Secretary (Industries) Mr. M. Sahu, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Mr. K. Kailashnathan, Industries Commissioner Mr. B.V. Swain and iNDEXTb Managing Director Mr. Mukesh Kumar.

Prime Minister expresses grief over boat accident involving Indian nationals near Phu Quoc, Vietnam

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has expressed deep grief over the tragic boat accident involving Indian nationals near Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

The Prime Minister conveyed his sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and prayed for the early recovery of the injured survivors.

Shri Modi said that the Embassy and Consulate are providing all possible assistance. He also noted that Indian officials are in close contact with the Vietnamese authorities.

In a post on X, Shri Modi said;

“Extremely saddened to learn about the tragic news of a boat accident involving Indian nationals near Phu Quoc, Vietnam.

My sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. My prayers for the early recovery of the injured survivors.

Our Embassy and Consulate are providing all possible assistance. Our officials are also in close contact with the Vietnamese authorities.”
