Team of First All India Services Expedition to Mt. Everest calls on PM

A five-member team, which is embarking on the first All India Services Expedition to Mt. Everest, called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today.

Team of First All India Services Expedition to Mt. Everest calls on PM (1) The team consists of five civil servants, including 2 IPS, 2 IAS and one IFS officers. It is led by Mr. Ravindra Kumar, an IAS officer of 2011 batch. The other officers include Ms. Saroj Kumari, IPS-2011; Mr. S. Prabhakaran, IFS-2011; Mr. Vikram Jindal, IAS-2012; and Mr. Suhail Sharma, IPS-2012. The expedition will be carrying the banner of Swachh Bharat to the peak.

PM announces ex-gratia from PMNRF

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to a fire mishap in Delhi’s Shahdara district.

The Prime Minister extended his condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in this tragic mishap and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Shri Modi announced that an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be given to the next of kin of each of those who lost their lives, and the injured would be given Rs. 50,000.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"The loss of lives due to a fire mishap in Delhi’s Shahdara district is extremely distressing. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.
