Hon'ble CM joins mourners at Prasanthi Nilayam to pay his last homage to Sathya Sai Baba

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today joined the bereaved family members of the late Sathya Sai Baba and offered flowers at the mortal remains of the spiritual leader at Prasanthi Nilayam.

Mr. Modi who had nearly 30 years’ association with Sathya Sai Baba also met and consoled those close to him including his nephew Ratnakar.

While the world as well as Gujarat is deeply mourning his death, the Chief Minister said the Baba would continue to inspire and guide the mankind to walk on the path of selfless service.

Paying his last homage to departed soul, Mr. Modi said, the Baba has won people’s heart with his humility, serving the poor, curing the sick and spreading mass education. He has introduced the great Indian culture and spirituality to the world.

Mr. Modi said he was greatly influenced by the life of Sathya Sai Baba and he considered himself fortunate to have received his blessings for serving the poor. He said that serving the poor could be the best and biggest tribute to the departed soul.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today extended warm birthday greetings to Vice President Thiru CP Radhakrishnan Ji.

The Prime Minister noted that the Vice President is making numerous efforts to strengthen the collective dream of building a Viksit Bharat. Shri Modi highlighted that his consistent efforts to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of Parliamentary proceedings reflect his deep commitment to democratic values.

The Prime Minister further stated that the Vice President's unwavering passion for all-round development, with a concern for the poor and marginalised, is equally inspiring. Emphasising that his public life continues to be guided by dedication, discipline, and a clear sense of purpose, Shri Modi prayed for his good health, happiness, and a long life in the service of the nation.
