Friends,

Today we remember the great Syama Prasad Mookerjee, a statesman, thinker and a patriot who devoted his life towards strengthening national integration. The founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, he left us on this day exactly 59 years back in 1953. Giving a call to the country for complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir into the Indian Union, he said “Ek desh me Do Vidhan, Do Pradhan aur Do Nishan nahi chalenge” which means “Ours is one country; we cannot have Two Constitutions, Two Presidents and Two Flags!”.

Remembering him, Advaniji has penned a heart-touching blog today “SALUTATIONS TO A GREAT MARTYR !” which I would like to share with you.
