Gujarat Seeds Corporation presented Rs.3.65-cr interim dividend to Gujarat CM

Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Gujarat’s Agriculture Minister Babubhai Bokhiria here today presented a cheque of Rs.3.65-crore to Chief Minister Narendra Modi as interim dividend of Gujarat State Seeds Corporation for the year 2012-13.

Prominent among those present on the occasion included Minister of State for Agriculture Govind Patel, Principal Secretary for Agriculture and Cooperation Radhakant Tripathy and Corporation’s Administrative Director Dr. B.R. Shah.

The Corporation was set up to ensure proper distribution of pure quality standard seeds to farmers of the state. It produced 2.80-lakh quintal of seeds and sold 2.58-lakh quintal of seeds during the year, and registered 70 per cent rise in profit.

PM Modi highlights India's defence transformation over the last decade

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has highlighted the significant transformation witnessed in India’s defence capabilities over the last decade.

Shri Modi said that India’s defence capabilities have undergone a major transformation, guided by the vision of self-reliance and powered by innovation, technology and indigenous manufacturing.

The Prime Minister noted that the progress made in the defence sector over the last 12 years reflects India’s growing focus on strengthening national security through self-reliance.

The Prime Minister further stated that India has strengthened its defence capabilities across air, land and sea, advanced indigenous technologies and built a stronger foundation for self-reliance and national security.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;
