Russia’s Foreign Minister calls on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on PM Modi and briefed the Prime Minister on the progress achieved in bilateral cooperation. Both leaders exchanged views on various issues, including the situation in Ukraine and West Asia. The PM reiterated India’s position on continuing dialogue and diplomacy and conveyed his warm greetings to President Putin.

Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Foreign Minister Lavrov briefed the Prime Minister on the situation in Ukraine, including the ongoing peace negotiations. Prime Minister Modi reiterated his call for an early cessation of violence, and conveyed India's readiness to contribute in any way to the peace efforts.
