Recently, The Wild Ass Sanctuary of Little Rann of Kutch in Gujarat has been shortlisted by UNESCO to enter in the list of World Heritage sites. The World Heritage List includes 962 sites forming part of the cultural and natural heritage which the World Heritage Committee considers as having outstanding universal value.

The Wild Ass Sanctuary of the Little Rann of Kutch, spread across 5000 square kilometers (approx.) is the only place on earth where the endangered Indian Wild Ass (
Equus hemionus khur), known locally as the
ghudkhar, still lives.

Apart from Wild Ass Sanctuary, Dholavaria: A Harrapan City in the Great Rann of Kutch, Rani ni Vav (Queens Step Well) in Patan and the Historic city of Ahmedabad are chosen by UNESCO for the tentative list of World Heritage Sites.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated Anandkumar Velkumar, Siddhant Rahul Kamble, and Vikram Rajendra Ingale on winning the Bronze medal in Men's Speed Skating 3000m Relay at the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

“Incredible display of teamwork brings home yet another Bronze Medal!

Anandkumar Velkumar, Siddhant Rahul Kamble, Vikram Rajendra Ingale have the Bronze in the Men's Speed Skating 3000m Relay.
