Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Gandhinagar International Film Festival

Hon. Chief Minister of Gujarat State, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Gandhinagar International Film Festival. This is the first of its kind film festival held in Gujarat.

Shri Narendra Modi stated on the time of Inauguration ceremony of Film and Television Festival at City Pulse - “There is a wide opportunity for Film Industry in Gujarat and now after this festival, there will be a great difference in opinion for Gujarat with respect to Film Industry”. He also said that “Films are the strongest medium of culture and tradition”. Addressing the directors he said “I have modest knowledge of the film industry and though I am not a good spectator but one thing I am sure about is, this is a medium by which the good and bad things can be learnt in the easiest possible way”. Shri Narendra Modi is an ardent admirer of dramas in local language.

Famous personalities of the Film Industries like Om Puri, Asha Parekh, Subhash Ghai, Satish Kaushik, Ketan Mehta, Anupam Kher, Anant Mahadevan, Manisha Koirala and the Owner of the City Pulse Ashok Purohit, Veena Purohit, B.V. Doshi enriched the party with their presence.

It was a huge festival in the history of Gujarat and has created a surge in the state.

He wrote in a post on X:
