Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the first ever meeting of the Gujarat Rajput Mahila Parishad’s meeting held on Republic-day in state capital Gandhinagar today, said, “Indian culture has inspired to understand the importance of mother’s power in the world and its role in the development of human society.
The Indian mother-power has made an unmatched contribution in protecting the values of family system and culture, Mr Modi said this while addressing 1200 delegates attending a meeting of the Gujarat Rajput Mahila Parishad.
Recalling and lauding the historical contributions made by the Rajput Samaj and Rajputanis in making sacrifices, protecting women and cow, patriotism and people’s care, Mr Modi said, the way the rajput women have become united and come forward through such forum is a trend setting in revolutionizing and awakening the society in today’s changing time.
Mr Modi said, the bright and energetic mother-power can build a strong nation and society and can sow seeds of culture in the society. For dignity of women and safety of women, he urged on instilling family values in the people.
He termed the prevailing trend of ‘killing female foetus’ in the educated society as a ‘Black Spot’ and he appealed to the women-power to ‘not to be a partner in this sinful act’. Mr Modi also warned that the imbalance in male-female birth-ratio could cause many problems. He also expressed a hope that the women of rajput samaj will make a notable contribution in development of society and nation.
The others who attended the function included, Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Jadeja, leaders of rajput samaj and leading women officials. The chief minister was welcomed by Mrs Shushilaba Jadeja, Chairman, Rajput Mahila Samaj, Gandhinagar.
