اطالوی جمہوریہ کی کونسل آف منسٹرز کی صدر جارجیا میلونی کی دعوت پر، بھارت کے وزیر اعظم جناب نریندر مودی نے 19-20 مئی 2026 کو اٹلی کا سرکاری دورہ کیا۔ اس دورے نے، جو جون 2024 میں جی 7 سمٹ کے لیے اٹلی کے دورے اور 2023 میں جی 20 سمٹ کے لیے وزیر اعظم میلونی کے بھارت کے دورے کے بعد ہوا، دو طرفہ تعلقات کو نئی رفتار دی۔ دونوں رہنماؤں نے بھارت-اٹلی تعلقات کو خصوصی اسٹریٹجک شراکت داری کی سطح تک بڑھانے کا فیصلہ کیا۔
