"Shri Narendra Modi spoke of the momentous journey of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Shri L K Advani’s contribution in the making of the BJP"
"Shri Modi shared his vision of working for the 2014 elections with the motive of securing India’s future"

Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the new office of the BJP – ‘Shri Kamlam’ - in Koba, Gandhinagar, on 10th February. Shri L K Advani ji was present on the occasion.

During his address to the party workers at the inauguration, Shri Modi spoke of the momentous journey of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Lal Krishna Advani ji’s remarkable contribution in the making of the BJP, and Shri Modi’s vision of working for the 2014 elections, with the motive of securing India’s future.

Shri Modi spoke about the party’s inspiring journey, right from the times of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh to the formation of BJP in 1980.He applauded the efforts of Nathalal Jhagda ji, who had worked for the party’s promotion, years back, on a bicycle, while also mentioning and appreciating the relentless efforts of scores of party workers across the country. Citing an example of the sheer determination of BJP workers, Shri Modi shared his recent visit to Kerala and spoke of how the party workers there continued to work for the party and contribute to the Nation’s growth, inspite of the fact that many workers had been killed in violence in Kerala. “This dedication and hard work is the basis of the party’s success. It is the Party’s punji (asset),” said Shri Modi.

Expressing his unhappiness over the current state-of-affairs, Shri Modi said that India was being supressed by most countries of the world and the primary reason for this was the lack of good governance; the lack of proper direction for the nation. “The past decade has been the worst in the era post-Independence,” said Shri Modi. He, however, went on to add that the period of poor governance was about to get over, and that the 2014 election were much more than merely elections; they were the opportunity to chart the Nation’s future and the future of its citizens. “The 2014 elections are not about winning or losing, but of ensuring a bright future for India. It is about sowing the seeds for a ‘Bhavya Bharat’ and a‘Divya Bharat’. For me, election is about the booth on one hand, and the government on the other. We need to win the booth and save the Nation,” said Shri Modi. He also focused on the ‘Ek Note. Kamal Pe Vote’ campaign, while speaking about the innovative approaches to reach the masses.

Shri Modi spoke about of how the Congress government, instead of focusing on the grave concerns of inflation, corruption and poor governance, was simply spreading lies.He said that their only actions were that of mud-slinging, but they tend to forget that the more the mud is slung, the more the Lotus shines.

Shri Modi also spoke of the encouragement and support shown by Former Supreme Court judge Justice VR Krishna Iyer, and said that this support was reflective of the decision taken by the people of India.

Other dignitaries to grace the occasion included Shri Balbir Punj, Shrimati Smriti Irani, Shri Omji Mathur, Shri Purushottam Rupala and Shri R C Faldu.
