In his remarks at the joint press meet in Varanasi, PM Modi said that just like the uninterrupted flow of the Ganga in Kashi, the continuous stream of Indian culture has enriched Mauritius. He congratulated PM Ramgoolam and the people of Mauritius on the successful conclusion of the Chagos Agreement. The PM also announced a Special Economic Package for Mauritius to strengthen infrastructure, create jobs, and improve healthcare.
