నిన్న నేను మాల్దాలో ఉన్నాను, ఈరోజు హుగ్లీలో మీ అందరి మధ్యకు వచ్చే భాగ్యం కలిగింది. వికసిత భారత్ కోసం తూర్పు భారత్ అభివృద్ధి - లక్ష్యంతో కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం నిరంతరం పనిచేస్తోంది. నిన్నటి, నేటి కార్యక్రమాలు ఈ సంకల్పాన్ని మరింత బలోపేతం చేస్తాయి. ఈ క్రమంలో, పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ కు సంబంధించిన వందల కోట్ల రూపాయల విలువైన అభివృద్ధి ప్రాజెక్టులకు శంకుస్థాపన చేసే, అంకితం ఇచ్చే అవకాశం నాకు లభించింది. నిన్న దేశ మొట్టమొదటి వందే భారత్ స్లీపర్ రైలు పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ నుంచి ప్రారంభమైంది. బెంగాల్‌కు సుమారు అరడజను కొత్త అమృత్ భారత్ ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్ రైళ్లు అందాయి. ఈరోజు మరో మూడు అమృత్ భారత్ ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్ రైళ్లు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. వీటిలో ఒక రైలు నా పార్లమెంటు నియోజకవర్గం కాశీ బనారస్‌తో బెంగాల్ అనుసంధానాన్ని మరింత బలోపేతం చేస్తుంది. ఇవే కాకుండా, ఢిల్లీ, తమిళనాడు రాష్ట్రాలకు వెళ్లే అమృత్ భారత్ ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్ రైళ్లు కూడా మొదలయ్యాయి. అంటే, పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ రైలు అనుసంధానానికి గత 24 గంటలు అపూర్వమైనవి. బహుశా గత 100 ఏళ్లలో 24 గంటల వ్యవధిలో ఇంతటి పని జరగలేదు.
