Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi watched soon to be released Hindi comedy film Khichdi in Ahmedabad’s Cinemax multiplex on Sunday.

A special show arranged for Chief Minister Narendra Modi was attended by cast and crew of the film. Famous character artists Anang Desai and film’s actor-producer JD Majethia were sitting next to Modi during the show.

“This is for the first time in history of Hindi film, that a TV serial has been converted into film. After watching the film, I can say that the film is light like a Khichdi. It is full of joy, humor and wit. In fact the film adds health to the body and the mind,” Modi said after watching the film.

“We wished that Gujarati family’s this film that is going to entertain the people and make them laugh, should be watched for the first time in public with Gujarat’s legendary and inspiring Chief Minister Narendra Modiji. We are fortunate enough that he accepted our invitation with love and supported us,” said film director and actor-producer JD Majethia.

Chief Minister Modi not only liked that a hit serial has been extended into a movie format, but also demanded Khichdi-2 movie in future.
