Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to begin his three-day hectic tour of New Delhi and Kolkata on April 7, 2013

On Sunday, April 7, Mr. Modi will attend the Joint Conference of Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of High Courts in New Delhi.

On Monday, April 8, Mr. Modi will deliver the keynote address annual session of the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) in New Delhi, with focus on women entrepreneurs and their empowerment. The same day at 4 p.m., he will talk on ‘Good Governance, Minimum Governance and Maximum Governance’ during the dialogue series on ‘Think India’ on CNBC-18 News TV Channel in the series.

From New Delhi, he will go directly to Kolkata to address a number of functions there.

On Tuesday, April 9, Mr. Modi will address a meeting of captains of trade and industries organized by the Kolkata’s oldest Merchant Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Associates. He will be felicitated by the BJP in the afternoon. At night, the Gujarati families settled in West Bengal will felicitate Mr. Modi at a reception arranged by Gujarati Samaj in Kolkata.

Prime Minister meets Swamis of Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today met Swamis associated with the Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust at Sivagiri Mutt, Varkala.

During the interaction, the Prime Minister appreciated the Swamis’ dedicated work in the fields of social service, education, spirituality and community welfare, noting that their efforts have made a lasting contribution to India’s social fabric.

He remarked that rooted in the timeless ideals of Sree Narayana Guru, the initiatives of the Trust continue to promote equality, harmony and dignity across society.
