Bagurumba Dwhou honours our great Bodo traditions: PM Modi in Guwahati, Assam

PM Modi addressed the Bagurumba Dwhou 2026, a historic cultural event celebrating the rich heritage of the Bodo community, in Guwahati. In his speech, the PM highlighted that under their government, Assamese culture is being given prominence. He noted that the 2020 Bodo Peace Accord brought an end to decades of conflict, enabling youth to join the mainstream. He also listed various works done by the governments at the Centre and state for the progress of Assam and Bodoland.

On the basis of my political experience and audience love, I can say that people have decided to form NDA government in Assam. They can't bear those who insult Assam's identity and propagate violence.”
