In a major step under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), the PM will inaugurate the Kaynes Semicon Plant at Sanand, Ahmedabad and will also visit Vav-Tharad to launch multiple development projects worth more than ₹20,000 crore.

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, has approved the ‘Small Hydro Power (SHP) Development Scheme for the period FY 2026–27 to FY 2030–31’ with an outlay of Rs. 2,584.60 crore. The scheme will particularly benefit hilly and North Eastern states and also incentivise states to prepare detailed project reports for about 200 projects, creating a pipeline of small hydro projects in the future.
