Joint Statement on the visit of PM Modi to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

At the invitation of HM King Abdullah II, PM Modi visited Jordan on December 15-16, 2025. Both the leaders positively assessed the multi-faceted India-Jordan relations that span across various areas of cooperation including political, economic, defence, security, culture and education among others. They also appreciated the excellent cooperation between the two sides at the bilateral level and in multilateral forums.

PM Modi and HM King Abdullah II addressed the India-Jordan Business Forum in Amman, calling upon industry leaders from both countries to convert potential and opportunities into growth and prosperity. Highlighting India’s 8% economic growth, the PM proposed doubling bilateral trade with Jordan to US $5 billion over the next five years.

பிரதமர் திரு நரேந்திர மோடி, ஜோர்டான் மன்னர் இரண்டாம் அப்துல்லா ஆகியோர் இன்று அம்மான் நகரில் நடைபெற்ற இந்தியா-ஜோர்டான் வர்த்தக மன்றத்தில் உரையாற்றினர். இந்த மன்றத்தில் பட்டத்து இளவரசர் ஹுசைன் மற்றும் ஜோர்டான் அமைச்சர்கள் கலந்துகொண்டனர். இரு நாடுகளுக்கும் இடையிலான வணிகத் தொடர்புகளை அதிகரிப்பதன் முக்கியத்துவத்தை ஜோர்டான் மன்னரும், பிரதமரும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். மேலும், இரு தரப்பிலிருந்தும் வந்திருந்த தொழிலதிபர்களை, சாத்தியக்கூறுகளையும் வாய்ப்புகளையும் வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் செழிப்புக்கான பாதையாக மாற்றிக்கொள்ளுமாறு அவர்கள் கேட்டுக்கொண்டனர். ஜோர்டானின் தடையற்ற வர்த்தக ஒப்பந்தங்களையும் இந்தியாவின் பொருளாதார வலிமையையும் ஒருங்கிணைத்து, தெற்காசியா, மேற்கு ஆசியா மற்றும் அதற்கு அப்பால் ஒரு பொருளாதார வழித்தடத்தை உருவாக்க முடியும் என்று மன்னர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

During the meeting between PM Modi and HM King Abdullah II of Jordan, several MoUs were signed. These include agreements on New and Renewable Energy, Water Resources Management & Development, Cultural Exchange and Digital Technology.
