ஜகார்த்தாவில் உள்ள இந்தோனேஷிய நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் பிரதமர் திரு நரேந்திர மோடி இன்று உரையாற்றினார். இந்தோனேஷிய நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் இந்திய பிரதமர் உரையாற்றுவது இதுவே முதல் முறையாகும். இந்தோனேஷிய அதிபர் திரு பிரபோவோ சுபியாந்தோவின் கனிவான பங்கேற்புக்கும், நாடாளுமன்ற அவைத்தலைவர் திருமதி புவான் மகாராணியின் அன்பான அழைப்புக்கும் இந்தியா-இந்தோனேஷியா கூட்டாண்மைக்கு அவர் ஆற்றிய அர்த்தமுள்ள பங்களிப்புக்கும் நன்றி தெரிவித்துப் பிரதமர் தமது உரையை தொடங்கினார். இந்தியாவின் 140 கோடி மக்கள் சார்பாக நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களுக்கு வாழ்த்துகளைத் தெரிவித்த அவர், ஜனநாயகத்தின் தாயான இந்தியா, இந்தோனேஷியாவுடன் ஜனநாயக உறவுகளை வலுப்படுத்த ஆர்வமாக உள்ளது என்றார். இரு நாடுகளுக்கும் இடையேயான ஆழமான நாகரிகம் மற்றும் கடல்சார் உறவுகளை எடுத்துரைத்த பிரதமர், இரண்டாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக, இந்தியப் பெருங்கடல் இந்தியாவையும் இந்தோனேஷியாவையும் சிந்தனைகள், வர்த்தகம், கலாச்சாரம், நம்பிக்கை ஆகியவற்றின் பரிமாற்றம் மூலம் இணைத்து வந்துள்ளது என்பதை நினைவு கூர்ந்தார்.
