உத்தராகண்ட் மாநிலம் டேராடூனில் 38-வது தேசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளைப் பிரதமர் திரு. நரேந்திர மோடி இன்று தொடங்கி வைத்தார். துவக்க விழாவில் பங்கேற்றவர்களிடையே உரையாற்றிய அவர், உத்தராகண்ட் இன்று இளைஞர்களின் சக்தியால் பிரகாசமாக உள்ளது என்றார். பாபா கேதார்நாத், பத்ரிநாத் மற்றும் அன்னை கங்கையின் ஆசீர்வாதத்துடன் 38-வது தேசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகள் இன்று தொடங்குகின்றன என்றும் அவர் கூறினார். உத்தராகண்ட் மாநிலம் உருவான 25-வது ஆண்டு இது என்று குறிப்பிட்ட திரு மோடி, நாடு முழுவதிலும் உள்ள இளைஞர்கள் இந்த இளம் மாநிலத்தில் தங்களது திறனை வெளிப்படுத்துவார்கள் என்று குறிப்பிட்டார். தேசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளின் இந்தப் பதிப்பில் பல உள்ளூர் விளையாட்டுகள் சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும், சுற்றுச்சூழலுக்கு உகந்த பொருட்களின் பயன்பாடு இருப்பதால் 'பசுமை விளையாட்டுகள்' என்ற கருப்பொருளில் இங்கு போட்டிகள் நடப்பதாகவும் அவர் மேலும் கூறினார். இந்தக் கருப்பொருளைப் பற்றி மேலும் விவரித்த பிரதமர், கோப்பைகள் மற்றும் பதக்கங்கள் கூட மின்னணுக் கழிவுகளால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டவை என்றும், பதக்கம் வென்ற ஒவ்வொருவரின் பெயரிலும் ஒரு மரக்கன்று நடப்படும் என்றும், இது ஒரு சிறந்த முயற்சி என்றும் குறிப்பிட்டார். தனது சிறப்பான ஆட்டத்தை வெளிப்படுத்த அனைத்து விளையாட்டு வீரர்களுக்கும் அவர் தனது நல்வாழ்த்துகளைத் தெரிவித்தார். இத்தகைய பிரம்மாண்டமான நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்ததற்காக உத்தராகண்ட் அரசுக்கும், மக்களுக்கும் அவர் பாராட்டு தெரிவித்தார்.
