On 30th April 2013, Swiss Ambassador Mr. Linus Von Castelmur paid courtesy visit to Shri Narendra Modi during his visit to Gandhinagar.  Shri Modi  had an extensive discussion on enhancing economic, educational and cultural mutual co-operation between Gujarat and Switzerland.

Mr. Linus Von Castelmur took keen interest in understanding the rapid rate of Gujarat’s overall development from Shri Modi.

Shri Modi discussed on the prospective collaboration with Switzerland in the areas of Skill Development, Agro- Processing, Tourism , Diamond and Jewelry, Watchmaking Industry  and Urban development.

Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Shri A. K Sharma and Gujarat’s  Principal Resident Commissioner in Delhi Shri Bharat Lal were present at the meeting.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi met Dr R Balasubramaniam today and signed a copy of his book ‘Power Within: The Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi’. The book captures Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership journey and interprets it through Western and Indic lenses, amalgamating them to provide a roadmap for those who aspire to a life of public service.

Replying to a post on X by Dr R Balasubramaniam, the Prime Minister wrote:

“It was a delight to meet Dr R Balasubramaniam earlier today. Also signed a copy of his book. My best wishes to him for his future endeavours.”
