Founder of the globally renowned software giant Infosys, Mr. N R Narayana Murthy today had a meet with Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and expressed interest in setting up company's research center in Gujarat.
Chief Minister invited Mr. Murthy to steer the state government's ambitious project of establishing a world-class incubation centre for the youths. Giving outlines of the project Mr.Modi said the state government wishes to set up an incubation centre with a view to nurture the young talents. “State government wishes the incubation centre to be a fully autonomous HRD body and if a man like Mr. Murthy guides it, talented youths will get a great stimulus for carrying out their innovative experiments”, said Chief Minister.
Replying optimistically to the Chief Minister's invitation Mr. Murthy said that he would certainly like to join such a project, but considering his tight schedule, he will discus with the state government regarding the kind of time he can give to the project.
Mr. Murthy also talked regarding the opportunities available to the youths in the IT sector. He also showed interest in the progress of the specialized universities like - Forensic Science University, Raksha Shakti University, Petroleum University, Sanskrit University, Teacher's University and Kamdhenu University – all set up by the Gujarat government with a view to cater to the need of the trained human resource. Mr. Murthy said that Chief Minister's thoughts on the nation-building are powerful.
Leading educationalist Mr. N R Vasani, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. K Kailasnathan, Principal Secretary to Industries Mr. M Shahu, MD of Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Mr. V S Gadhavi, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. A K Sharma and officials of Infosys were present during the meet.
