Shri Modi speaks on the eve of 61st Republic Day (Part-1)

On the eve of 61st Republic Day, with vision, passion and commitment to transcend bright avenues of development, Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi made important announcements, gifting around 3500 development projects worth Rs. 1000 Crores to Surendranagar District.

Chief Minister, on Monday, honoured distinguished personalities of Surendranagar District for their outstanding achievements and valuable contributions to the society. As many as 26 people received the honour, along with the mountaineers. He had released some publications, the five publications highlights Surendranagar’s development strides.

With radiating warmth and joy, people had participated in the cultural festival on Monday.

Chief Minister extended his heartfelt greetings to the citizens. He had lauded that people have high respect and honour for our Constitution. He appreciated the huge response received to Constitutions Sanman Yatra. The thought leaders and scholars ought to prod upon it, he added.

Indian Constitution strikes an ideal balance between the rights and duties of the Citizens. Accumulated wisdom of our citizens consolidates the democracy.

He sought to highlight the achievements of the farmers. In BT-Cotton, Surendranagar district has over powered China, in the production of organic-Til; farmers of Surendranagar have carved out a unique niche by exporting it to Japan. Chief Minister gave compliments to the farmers.

Chief Minister made important announcements; gas-grid is being laid in the district by spending crores of rupees. Narmada water is made available, which opens up exciting avenues of development, he also announced infrastructure projects, 4-lanes and 6-lanes roads linkage, port connectivity. The Ahmedabad-Rajkot, Ahmedabad Maliya and Pipavav-Ambaji Road up gradation would open up the bright avenues for global trade.

Chief Minister made an appeal for a massive plantation drive, which has the mission of planting 60000 tree saplings near Dholi-Dhaja Dam. People warmly responded to the call given by C.M. He also appealed to construct terrace-ponds in the hilly regions of Chotila.

Engineering College on PPP model, Cotton Research Centre, Strengthening of dairy network in the District was also announced by the C.M.

He asked the youth to devote 100 hours for Gujarat. He also lauded the Success of Nirmal Gujarat. Special allocation of Rs. 1 Crore for the development-works under Gram- Panchayats, and Rs. 1 Crore for Municipalities .He gave compliments for the Coveted ISO- 2001 status earned by Collectorate and three Prant- Offices.

Ministers, Shri Fakirbhai Vaghela, Shri Ramanbhai Vora, Shri Kiritsinhji Rana, Ex. Minister Shri I.K.Jadeja, and MLA Smt.Varshaben Doshi, eminent leaders, top officials and people in large numbers were present.
