PM pays homage to Nelson Mandela on 'Mandela Day'

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has paid homage to former South African President Nelson Mandela, on 'Mandela Day'. The Prime Minister said Mandela Day is not only a day to remember the Great Man himself but also to reaffirm our commitment to work towards world peace. 

"The beloved Madiba's work, ideals & principles continue to inspire us. He demonstrated the triumph of peace, equality and service," the Prime Minister added.

PM greets people on Subah ke Arghya of Chhath

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi extended warm wishes to the citizens on the holy occasion of Subah ke Arghya of Chhath today and remarked that the four-day rituals of Mahaparv Chhath fill citizens with new energy and enthusiasm.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

"महापर्व छठ के चार दिवसीय अनुष्ठान से प्रकृति और संस्कृति की जो झलक देखने को मिली है, वो देशवासियों में एक नई ऊर्जा और उत्साह भरने वाली है। सुबह के अर्घ्य के पावन अवसर पर सभी देशवासियों को बहुत-बहुत बधाई।"
