PM Modi meets BIMSTEC leaders in Goa, discusses global issues

PM Narendra Modi today met BIMSTEC leaders ahead of BRICS-BIMSTEC Outreach Summit.

PM Modi met Sri Lankan President, Maithripala Sirisena, PM Tshering Tobgay of Bhutan, PM Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', Deputy PM of Thailand Prawit Wongsuwan, and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State of Myanmar.

The leaders discussed several regional and global issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude towards the people who have supported the Bharatiya Janata Party in the assembly election held in Mizoram. He also appreciated the Party Karyakartas for their hardwork and efforts during the state election.

"I would like to thank all those who supported the BJP. Our Party will always work to ensure Mizoram scales new heights of progress. I appreciate the hardwork of our Party workers who reached out to the people of the state and highlighted our agenda of good governance," the PM wrote on microblogging site X.

He also congratulated Dr. K. Beichhua and Mr. K. Hrahmo from the Party on being elected MLAs and extended his best wishes for their legislative journey ahead.
