PM condoles loss of life in Odisha floods

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has condoled the loss of life in the recent floods in Odisha. 

The Prime Minister has sanctioned Rs. 2 lakhs for each of the deceased, and Rs. 50,000 for each of the seriously injured, from the Prime Minister`s National Relief Fund. 

The amount will be disbursed directly to the district collectors. 

The Prime Minister spoke to the Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, and sought information on the situation arising out of the floods.

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today received a memento of Swami Samarth. Shri Modi remarked that the Government will always work to realise his vision for our society.

In a post on X, Shri Modi wrote:

“आज स्वामी समर्थ यांचे स्मृतिचिन्ह भेट म्हणून स्विकारण्याचे भाग्य मला लाभले. हे मी कायम जपणार आहे... त्यांचे उदात्त विचार आणि शिकवण कोट्यवधी लोकांना प्रेरणा देत आली आहे. त्यांचा आपल्या समाजाप्रति असलेला दृष्टिकोन प्रत्यक्षात आणण्यासाठी आम्ही सदैव प्रयत्नशील राहू.”
