Palitana to become ‘Model Temple Town’

Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi today expressed his desire that Palitana Tirth-Kshetra would create its unique brand image of a Model Temple-Town. He also gave compliments to Shubh-Mangal Trust for undertaking the development project.

Shubh Mangal Trust is inspired by Acharya Bhagvant Shri Abhaydev Surishwarjee Maharaj. During his visit to Palitana, Chief Minister witnessed a power-point –presentation highlighting development projects undertaken by the trust, also depicting future development-plans. This is a very note worthy development that foundation has undertaken development works in 17 K.M areas, since March-2008. Under the project, at least Rs.20 crores is spent for laying drainage-lines and drinking water pipe-lines, installing electricity and telephone cables and road-works. Trust has taken up some of the new projects of Rs. 20 to 25 crores, which are likely to be completed by May -2010, when Gujarat would be celebrating ‘Swarnim-Jayanti’ of attaining Statehood.

Showering blessings, Acharya Abhaydev Surishwarjee congratulated the Chief Minister on completing the Successful-Spell of 3000 days, which is marked with landmark achievements’.

Principal donor-Shri Rasikchand Dhariwal family welcomed Chief Minister. State Minister Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, M.P.Shri Rajubhai Rana, MLA Shri Mahendrasinh Sarvaiya, Municipality President Smt Hemaben Kandel, Trustees of Shubh Mangal Foundation, Members of ‘Shetrunjay Development Committee’ were also present.

Telephonic conversation between PM Modi and French President Macron

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation today with H. E. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic.

Prime Minister conveyed his solidarity to President Macron for the ongoing drought and wildfires in France.


The leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral initiatives including defence cooperation projects and cooperation in civil nuclear energy.

They also discussed important geopolitical challenges including those related to global food security.

The two leaders expressed satisfaction at the depth and strength that the India-France Strategic Partnership has acquired in recent years and agreed to continue working closely together to expand the relationship to new areas of cooperation.
