Cabinet approves Pradhan Mantri Surya Sarovar Yojana (PM-SSY) with a total outlay of Rs.5,070 crore

The Union Cabinet, chaired by PM Modi, has approved the ₹5,070 crore Pradhan Mantri Surya Sarovar Yojana to develop 5,000 MW of floating solar projects with energy storage. The scheme will boost clean energy, strengthen the grid and create new employment opportunities.
