PM Modi will visit Assam on 13-14 March 2026. During the visit, the PM will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, lay foundation stones, perform Bhoomi Poojan and flag off multiple development projects worth more than ₹47,600 crore across Kokrajhar, Guwahati and Silchar. In his remarks at the India-Finland joint press meet, PM Modi praised Finland President Alexander Stubb as a respected thinker and appreciated him for completing the Ironman Triathlon. He noted the increasing cooperation across sectors between India and Finland. ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਹੇਠ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਐੱਨਐੱਚ-15 'ਤੇ ਗੋਹਪੁਰ ਤੋਂ 715 ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ 'ਤੇ ਨੁਮਾਲੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੱਕ 4-ਮਾਰਗੀ ਐਕਸੈਸ-ਕੰਟਰੋਲਡ ਗ੍ਰੀਨਫੀਲਡ ਕਨੈਕਟੀਵਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ 15.79 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਸੜਕ-ਕਮ-ਰੇਲ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਸਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਖਰੀਦ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ (ਈਪੀਸੀ) 'ਤੇ 18,662 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
