ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਹੇਠ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਐੱਨਐੱਚ-15 'ਤੇ ਗੋਹਪੁਰ ਤੋਂ 715 ਸੈਕਸ਼ਨ 'ਤੇ ਨੁਮਾਲੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਤੱਕ 4-ਮਾਰਗੀ ਐਕਸੈਸ-ਕੰਟਰੋਲਡ ਗ੍ਰੀਨਫੀਲਡ ਕਨੈਕਟੀਵਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ 15.79 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਸੜਕ-ਕਮ-ਰੇਲ ਸੁਰੰਗ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਸਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਖਰੀਦ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ (ਈਪੀਸੀ) 'ਤੇ 18,662 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
