ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਤਮਿਲਨਾਡੂ ਦੇ ਮਦੁਰਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ 4,400 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਦਘਾਟਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਨੀਂਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਮਦੁਰਾਈ ਦੀ ਪਾਵਨ ਧਰਤੀ 'ਤੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਤਮਿਲਨਾਡੂ ਦੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਗੌਰਵਮਈ ਅਧਿਆਏ ਵਜੋਂ ਦਰਜ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਦਾ ਕਾਇਆ-ਕਲਪ ਕਰਨਾ, ਅਰਥਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਗਤੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਕਾਰਾਤਮਕ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਹੈ। ਉੱਚ-ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਿਹਤਰੀਨ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਮੂਲ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ—ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਲਈ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸੜਕਾਂ, ਤੀਰਥ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਲਾਨੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਆਸਾਨ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਤੇਜ਼ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ।
