World leaders from across the globe congratulated PM Modi on becoming India’s longest continuously serving democratically elected PM in consecutive terms. ਇਟਲੀ ਗਣਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਸ਼ਦ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ (ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ) ਜੌਰਜੀਆ ਮੈਲੋਨੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ, ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਨੇ 19-20 ਮਈ, 2026 ਨੂੰ ਇਟਲੀ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਦੌਰਾ ਜੂਨ, 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀ7 ਸਿਖਰ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੇ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੌਰੇ ਅਤੇ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀ20 ਸਿਖਰ ਸੰਮੇਲਨ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੈਲੋਨੀ ਦੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੌਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੁਵੱਲੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਵੀਂ ਗਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ-ਇਟਲੀ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ “ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਰਣਨੀਤਕ ਭਾਈਵਾਲੀ” ਦੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਇਟਲੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ
