Cabinet approves Fair and Remunerative Price of Rs.365/qtl for Sugarcane Farmers for season 2026-27

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, has approved a Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of ₹365 per quintal for sugarcane for the 2026–27 season. The decision aims to safeguard the interests of farmers while ensuring stability in the sugar sector. Notably, it will benefit nearly 5 crore sugarcane farmers and around 5 lakh workers employed in sugar mills and allied activities.ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਖੰਡ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ 2024-25 (ਅਕਤੂਬਰ-ਸਤੰਬਰ) ਲਈ ਖੰਡ ਮਿੱਲਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗੰਨੇ ਦੇ ‘ਉਚਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਭਕਾਰੀ ਮੁੱਲ’ (ਐੱਫਆਰਪੀ) ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ

ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਹੇਠ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਖੰਡ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ 2024-25 ਲਈ ਗੰਨੇ ਦੇ ਵਾਜਬ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਭਕਾਰੀ ਮੁੱਲ (ਐੱਫਆਰਪੀ) ਨੂੰ 10.25% ਦੀ ਖੰਡ ਦੀ ਰਿਕਵਰੀ ਦਰ 'ਤੇ 340 ਰੁਪਏ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਕੁਇੰਟਲ ਦੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
