The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Modi, has approved a Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of ₹365 per quintal for sugarcane for the 2026–27 season. The decision aims to safeguard the interests of farmers while ensuring stability in the sugar sector. ਮੈਂ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਸਦਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਗੱਲ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਪੱਛਮੀ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਚਿੰਤਾਜਨਕ ਹੈ। ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦੋ-ਤਿੰਨ ਹਫ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਜੈਸ਼ੰਕਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਦੀਪ ਪੁਰੀ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ’ਤੇ ਸਦਨ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਸੰਕਟ ਨੂੰ 3 ਹਫ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਆਰਥਿਕਤਾ ’ਤੇ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ’ਤੇ, ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਉਲਟ ਅਸਰ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਇਸ ਸੰਕਟ ਦੇ ਜਲਦ ਤੋਂ ਜਲਦ ਹੱਲ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
