ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਂਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਹੇਠ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਨੇ ਬਾਇਓ -ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਰਿਸਰਚ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ (ਬੀਆਰਸੀਪੀ- BRCP), ਪੜਾਅ -।।। ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਡਿਪਾਰਟਮੈਂਟ ਆਫ ਬਾਇਓ-ਟੈਕਨੋਲੋਜੀ (ਡੀਬੀਟੀ) ਅਤੇ ਵੈਲਕਮ ਟਰਸਟ (WT), ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਅਤੇ ਐੱਸਪੀਵੀ (SPV), ਇੰਡੀਆ ਅਲਾਇੰਸ ਦੇ ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਤੀਸਰੇ ਪੜਾਅ (2025-26 ਤੋਂ 2030-31 ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਛੇ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ (2031-32 ਤੋਂ 2037-38 ਤੱਕ) ਲਈ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ 1500 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਲਾਗਤ ਨਾਲ 2030-31 ਤੱਕ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਫੈਲੋਸ਼ਿਪ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਂਟਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀਬੀਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਡਬਲਿਊਟੀ, ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਲੜੀਵਾਰ 1000 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਅਤੇ 500 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦੇਣਗੇ।
