The PM continued his campaign in poll bound Jharkhand, addressing a massive rally in Hazaribagh. The PM began his speech by paying homage to the martyrs of the attack in Jammu and Kashmir. He paid rich tributes to the son of Jharkhand, Sankalp Shukla, who lost his life for the security of the nation and added that Jharkhand will remember his martyrdom forever.
The Prime Minister made a very strong appeal to the people of Jharkhand to end the corruption that is prevalent in the state. He also urged them to end coalition politics in the State. He affirmed, “Now Jharkhand does not want coalition governments. These coalition deals, they are very costly and no good comes out of it.”
Shri Modi said, “You have a lot of things. What you need is someone to live for you, someone to work for you and someone who will work for your well-being for life. Such is the government you need.” He added, “As CM, I would be envious of Jharkhand. In Gujarat we had desert and salt while Jharkhand has lush green forests, coal & iron ore.”
Stating that development is the only way ahead, Shri Modi stated, “Enough of caste politics. Enough of politics of city vs village, forward vs backward. Need of the hour is to leave these paths. If politics has to be done it has to be on development. A government will be selected and evaluated on development, nothing else.”
During the speech the PM also talked about the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana and how it will help the farmers of the State. He shared how the Jan Dhan Yojana will touched the lives of the poor and opened the doors of banks for the poor. He also spoke on the decision in the coal sector taken by the Centre that will benefit Jharkhand.
Union Minister of State Shri Jayant Sinha, former CM Shri Arjun Munda, former Union Minister Shri Yashwant Sinha among other leaders of the BJP were present during the occasion.
