PM makes surprise visit to Mandir Marg police station, New Delhi

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today paid a surprise visit to the Mandir Marg police station in New Delhi.

As he was on the way to Valmiki Basti, he requested the official motorcade to be stopped at Mandir Marg Police Station. Noting the dirt at the venue, the Prime Minister himself picked up a broom to clean dirt.

Police officials rushed to the Prime Minister after noticing him. The Prime Minister later exhorted police officials to maintain cleanliness, before proceeding to Valmiki Basti.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;


"On Mahalaya, we pray to Maa Durga and seek her divine blessings for our people. May everyone be happy and healthy. May there be prosperity and brotherhood all around.
