The Union Cabinet has approved the construction of 4-Lane Paramakudi - Ramanathapuram Section (46.7 km) in Tamilnadu. The project worth Rs.1,853 crore will decongest the existing corridor, improve safety, and cater to the mobility needs of the surrounding towns. ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀ ଆଜି ତାମିଲନାଡୁ ରାମେଶ୍ୱରମର ପେଇକୁରୁମ୍ବୁଠାରେ ପୂର୍ବତନ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଡଃ.ଏପିଜେ ଅବଦୁଲ୍ କଲାମ ସ୍ମାରକୀ ସ୍ଥଳ ଉଦ୍ଘାଟନ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ‘କଲାମ୍ ସନ୍ଦେଶ ବାହିନୀ’ ନାମକ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନୀ ବସକୁ ପତାକା ଦେଖାଇ ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଯାହା ଦେଶର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ରାଜ୍ୟକୁ ପରିଭ୍ରମଣ କରିବ । ମୋଦୀ ନୀଳ ବିପ୍ଳବ ଯୋଜନା ଅଧୀନରେ ଲମ୍ବା ଲାଇନ୍ ଟ୍ରଲର ହିତାଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତିପତ୍ର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଛନ୍ତି , ସେ ଅଯୋଧ୍ୟାରୁ ରାମେଶ୍ୱରମ୍ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ନୂଆ ଏକ୍ସପ୍ରେସ୍ ଟ୍ରେନକୁ ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସବୁଜ ରାମେଶ୍ୱରମ୍ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପର ରୂପରେଖ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜାରି କରିଛନ୍ତି ।
